Tracking Your Heart Rate

With the latest version of the site, we tried to keep the workout entry page clean, while adding more functionality. With the realization that most people don't track their heart rate, we decided to hide those fields by default. To track your heart rate, go to the settings page and check "Track heart rate".

Site downtime

I'm aware that the site has been down for most of the day. I'm actively working with my web host to get the site accessible again. I'll update this post as I get more details.

Update: The site is back up again. I'm investigating the root cause of this so that I can avoid it happening again. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Minor release: pace is back

Among a lot of positive feedback for the recent update to the site, I heard from several people that we forgot to show your pace after you entered a workout. I've gone ahead and added this back to the site.

As always, if you see anything else that you'd like improved please don't hesitate to contact us.

New Version of Running-Log.com Launched

I'm happy to announce that we've shipped an all new version of Running-Log.com! This is the first version shipped since I formed Fastfoot Software, LLC with two of my friends. I'm responsible for the coding, Jenn is responsible for the design, and Stephen is responsible for the business. Enough of that, though, here are some of the biggest features you'll notice with the new version:
  1. An all-new design. I'm not a designer and anyone who saw the site before could tell you that. Jenn has done a great job with this.
  2. The site is easier to use with the new menu-navigation. Keep an eye on the menu in the future for new features to appear.
  3. View your calendar in weekly, monthly, or yearly increments.
  4. Toggle between viewing your calendar and viewing a chart of your mileage.
  5. You can have your week start on Monday! Update this on the settings page.
  6. Break your workout down into individual intervals. Easily add a warmup and cooldown or any number of intervals in between.
  7. Shop at the Running-Log.com store. This is an Amazon storefront that will help support the site.
It's been a long-time coming, but we really hope you enjoy the new version. If you have any issues, please let us know.
